My insignia didnt come with the auto dimming mirror and I really miss not having it on the Exclusiv. Just found a company that do clip on ones! Runs off batteries for up to 3 years, looks a neat solution.....

I was in two minds about the dimming mirror as part of the "premium sensor pack" as the one I had in my previous car (mk5 golf) was a bit ham fisted - not very quick to clear up, it stayed v dark for ages. And I like to know who/whats following me esp at night, so it used to stay switched off.

When I saw that the one in the 'sig wasn't switchable I was gutted, however it's a revelation, only going really dark when somebody is right up yer chuff and clearing v quickly when they drop back a bit so you can easily identify following vehicles (check for police lights etc;))

I hope this aftermarket option is as good for you!

Cheers

unfortunately supply problems at the moment but it looks as though you can switch this one on and off and there's a choice of coloured tints. If I get one next year I'll let you all know, although probably just end up sticking with manually flipping my mirror!
