Can anyone confirm what their fuel range states on the driver information centre after they have filled up the tank on their SRI 160 Diesel?
My one stated 374 miles, which is in my opinion is very low, but I have driven 150 miles since and it now states 390 miles left, this only changed when I got back from my day out yesterday.
I know it depends on what type of driving you would do, eg; motorway round town etc, but the information seems inconsistent.
I have zero'd my trip meter so hopefully I will find out how many miles my car will approximately cover. I am mainly on the motorways and sit at around 70 mph, that is if they are clear...

It depends on the previous average consumption, so the more you drive it economically the higher it will show when you fill it up. 890 on my Exclusiv 160 cdti for the sort of driving I do. I am mainly on motorways and sit around 60 mph, car has covered 15000 miles so loosened up! It is updated in realtime according to the mpg so quite often if youve been driving round town and its dropped, when you cruise on the motorway it begins rising... i.e. it assumes the mpg you've been doing recently (probably over the last few miles) in estimating how far you can go on the fuel left in the tank.

Mine says around 400 at the moment, only got 2200 miles on it so far though. It said about 200 after i first filled it up with £78 worth of diesel - Which was a bit of shock!

Getting about 550 from a tank at the moment, mostly motorway driving and at about 75 - 80mph.

Upto 3000 miles now, filled up again today and it said 700 miles for the tank. Got half left now and says 392 to go so pushing 800 from the tank! :D

Happy with that! (told the mrs it was a good idea to get a new car with amazing mpg! lol)
