Found this site that sells the Brodit Proclip mobile phone mounts for the Insignia. I have 2 of them in my Astra of which do the job perfectly without the need to drill any holes in your dash. I will be getting another 2 of these for my upcoming Insignia.

Looks like it clips around pillar, not quite as neat as some of their previous clips I dont think. JMO.

No many places in the Insignia which can be easily used for such mounts I suspect.

Anyone else noticed when using a external SatNav on the screen that the power plug sticks out a long way when plugged into the lighter socket. I find the power cable comes mighty close to the gear lever. Lighter socket could have done with being recessed further, but the of course it would have then made it awkward for those who actually use a cigarette lighter plugged ino it. (difficulty reaching it)

The proclip is a fantastic piece of kit.:D i've used them on more than one occasion for phone kits. saves drilling holes they're not that badly priced either imho.....:cool::cool:

Dont think mine has it fitted... only the AUX in I think, other than the rear passenger 12v ciggie lighter of course.

I've done a slight mod to my front 12v socket next to the ashtray. Removed the trim and made an extension to the plug so it splits the power, mounted a socket in the gap behind the trim and used a 12v extension lead to a socket in the cubby next to the driver so I can power my work TomTom.

Now theres a coincidence, I saw the earlier reviews of the Brodit and bought this last week. Very pleased with it, although pricey with the Blackberry mount.

They are a nice neat solution for hole free mounting on the dash. Ive got the powered mount for my Nokia N95 8GB and it works well in my Astra SRi so will be using it in my Insignia SRi when I get it in October.
