To me, the Insignia is the better looking of the two. Nicer proportions and more rounded lines.

The Passat is a tad more angular and doesn't look quite so impressive as the Insignia.

Fully agree,

Ford Ka - Vauxhall Corsa
Kia Ce'ed - Vauxhall Astra
VW Passat - Vauxhall Insignia

There are so many more i cant think of right now but from the side of many cars at the moment you just cant tell the difference. Where has everyones individuality gone?

To buy old skool thats the individuality.:D:D

Although i still think the Insignia, does have a good staus/stance, on the roads, i also recognize them instantly when i spot them;)

Oh yes, no doubt about it they have presence like 'Queen of the road':D

I am still in that park it away from others in large supermarket car parks mode, which usually entails quite a walk (I do need the exercise). On the return I keep getting thrown by how good it still looks from every angle. I have usually taken a car for granted after a week of ownership. This usually makes the walk back very satisfying and I must look right like a real smug git.

I still do this in all mine, or try to park it in one corner so its tucked as far as poss, from the car by the side.:):)

ive also done this for years though still doesnt matter if you park it the furthest away and as close to the side of the parking bay where there isnt another to that side, someone always parks closer to you on the other side!!!
