Been searching the german forums again and it seems there are some aftermarket solutions for thise wishing to fit the Nav to car.
This is a german unit but it will be a matter of time i think before this is offered in English/the UK.

That looks great - except the price - Do you think it uses the standard radio?
I love the DAB radio in mine.

Ouch, not cheap though :( Almost as cheap to get the factory unit.

It implies that it's compatible with the existing unit though that could just mean it uses the buttons.
DAB is the one thing I'd like in my Elite, wasn't an option when I ordered mine. Hopefully it will be possible to retrofit easily though at what cost.....

I think it would be a complete swap of unit, but not sure. Its not cheap your right but still a alternate to the prive VX would want which I reckon would be well into the 4 figures.
