Got a call from the dealer today saying Insignias have been recalled to check if they haver a certain part fitted so I have booked it in for tomorrow. Don't know what it is yet but apparantly it's a quick job just to check for a certain part.

I asked what they checked and got a bit of technical jargon back. I managed to hear some keywords such as EGR valve but mine was fine. Of course, I've already had this replaced as when i first got the car the EMS light wouldn't go off so they replaced the valve which fixed the problem.

EGR valves are normally a problem with cars a few years old, not new ones. VX/Opel needs to hammer their suppliers to improve component quality.
