dont worry about this thread i've just bought a gte 16v complete.

The belmont wont be "chavved" liz. All GM parts will be used to make the car a bit better on the eye subtly, plus 180bhp under the bonnet apposed to the tiny tiny 70bhp 1400 engine

Thanks to all that replied

Hi mick, i had thought the legs off the gte would have been the same as youre looking for?
Would be interesting having a bit more power, but thought these li'l engines had 86bhp anyway??:)

75bhp as standard dude, even so anything under 100bhp i personally cant cope with unfortunatley. i like my belmont and glad its rust free but i'm just making into what my personal preferences are, but imo far from chav, just subtle GM mods ;) :D

i know the gte will have everything to swap over ;) thats why i say dont worry about this thread

I'm sure the Belmont has more than standard 1300s, cos of the boot, so they upped it.:p
but as you say, sounds all good & look forward to seeing some progress, eh??:):)

according to the haynes manual its 75bhp, but that may be wrong.

Progress will be sorted when i've stripped the gte over the next month, it doesnt help working 13hrs a day 6 day a week. I'll get a thread up soon mitch

also could you pm me some details of becoming a paid memebr please, i'm behaviing myself over here and i like the happy happy joy joy of this club ;) :D
